Mixed feelings

Again, I forgot I have a blog....and this is the reason why I did not post anything recently.... Haha~~ so forgetful.

Booked the flight tickets tonight and I guess it means I am really going home now. Mixed feeling.... I guess tonight will be a night without sleep.....

Not sure I am doing the right thing or not but I know this is the thing I have to do. If I have to do it, I should just embrace this idea/move. There are a lot of things in Lawrence that I will miss a lot, such as friends, buddies, students and a great teacher whom I consider as my mentor. I dont know when is the next time I will see them. I can only wish them all the best and take good cares of themselves. I hope we will meet again soon. Could be in Taiwan or could be anywhere in the world. Bon voyage!!!

Ready for tomorrow.........??!! yes~~ I am ready

I have never thought about I could sight-read so many pieces in such a short time. I sightread through about 50+ pieces in the past 2 days. My eyes and brain hurt..... Haha~~ I sightread music, memorized terminologies, and observed classes.... I feel like I am in school again. Tomorrow is the first day of class.... Hope everything will go well. Wish me luck!!

2nd day at Interlochen

Today is the second day at Interlochen. My job here is very challenge. First time to work as dance accompanist. This is completely a whole new world to me. I have playing for instrumental, vocal, opera, musical but never dance music.  As dance accompanist, I do not have the music to follow but rhythms only and I have to improvise. Wow~~Improvisation is weakest part tho. Lucky, I observed some dance classes and got some music examples today. I feel a little better now. I am nervous but I am ready for the challenge. After this summer, I believe I can say that I have experienced every part of collaborative music!!

First day at Interlochen, Michigan

Yeah~~ After 13 hours of driving, I am finally at Interlochen Michigan. I fell in love with this place at first sight!!! The first thing I did is shopping?!?! Haha~~ Can't wait to see the West Bay tomorrow!!

Trip to Michigan, day 1

On the way to Interlochen, Michigan. I drove to Joliet and spent a night in this lovely town. It is very sweet town. I can see the heritages from early 50s-60s in this place. However, this place is dying away and the existence of this town is depending in the Harrah's casino... So sad!!!

Second of day of road trip to Michigan!! Wish me luck~~
